VA Tele-Mental Health Program

Coos County Family Health Services, in conjunction with the White River VA, currently offers veterans (including non-combat and National Guard) and their family members in our area mental health services.  These services include individual counseling as well as general psychiatry services consisting of video conferences as necessary with a VA Psychiatrist.
These services are helpful to our clients and their families as they make it possible to be seen closer to home, rather than traveling to White River, VT.  Mr. Chester Annis, MA, LCMHC, MLADC coordinates this program and provides mental health services at the Pleasant Street location of CCFHS in Berlin, NH.  Access to this program is obtained by calling the Pleasant Street office in Berlin at 752-2040.
Influenza Vaccine
Who should get influenza vaccine?

All people 6 months of age and older should get a flu vaccine.(click to see a schedule of our Flu clinics) Vaccination is especially important for people at higher risk of severe influenza and their close contacts, including healthcare personnel and close contacts of children younger than 6 months. Get the vaccine as soon as it is available. This should provide protection if the flu season comes early. Influenza(Flu) is a contagious disease. It is caused by the influenza virus, which can be spread by coughing, sneezing or nasal secretions. By getting the flu vaccine you can protect yourself from influenza and may also avoid spreading influenza to others. Adults and older children need one dose of influenza vaccine each year but some children younger than 9 yrs of age need two doses to be protected. Ask your provider. Influenza vaccine may be given at the same time as other vaccines, including pneumococcal vaccine.
