Congratulations to Dr. Brian Beals, an NHCT Board member, for being named Pediatrician of the Year by the NH Pediatric Society!
Dr. Beals has lived in the Berlin-Gorham area for the past 25 years, currently practicing at Coos County Family Health Services and as the pediatric medical director at nearby Androscoggin Valley Hospital. Despite the physical distance between pediatric subspecialty services, Brian has developed several niche areas to enhance his practice in a region that historically has been underserved.
Dr. Beals is a provider, teacher, and advocate for both children and other professionals in his field. He remains a valued resource in his community and goes above and beyond to provide exceptional care in the North Country region. Congratulations, Dr. Beals! We are so honored to celebrate you and your achievements!
Each year the New Hampshire Pediatrician of the Year award is presented by the New Hampshire Pediatric Society to an outstanding doctor who contributes to the improvement of child health care in New Hampshire and the United States.

Meeting A Community's Dental Needs
“Photo by Cheryl Senter, courtesy of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation.”
Coös Family Dental, on Berlin's Main Street, is open to anyone in the community who needs
care. The clinic is filling a need that is particularly acute in the North Country, where more than two in ten adults have not seen a dentist in the past five years, and very few dental practices are accepting new Medicaid patients.
